Getting to Nimbin By Car
Located inland of Byron Bay and to the north of Lismore, Nimbin is easily accessed by car. The village is within a 1.5-hour drive of both the Gold Coast and Byron Bay and 30 minutes from Lismore. Nimbin’s closest airport is Lismore Regional Airport, serviced by Regional Express Airlines (REX).
The Gold Coast Airport in Coolangatta is located 81 kilometres to the north, just over the border to South East Queensland. The drive south to Nimbin meanders through some of the Green Cauldron’s most stunning landscapes and picturesque villages.
- Alternatively, the Ballina Byron Gateway Airport, 65 kilometres east of Nimbin, transports visitors to and from the heart of the Northern Rivers and is just minutes away from some of Australia’s most iconic beaches.
